About Yusei Matsui (松井優征)
In 2001, “Rubbing Dead（ラビングデッド）” won the jury special award at the 51st Tenkaichi Manga Award.
In 2004, “Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro（魔人探偵脳噛ネウロ）” was selected for the 12th Jump Newcomer Manga Award. At the same time, he made his debut as a manga artist. Based on this work, “Weekly Shonen Jump” began serialization of “Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro” in 2005. “Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro” was made into a TV animation from 2007 to 2008.
In 2009, the series of “Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro” was completed and “Divorce Arbitration” was published on “Jump SQ”.
In 2010, “A plan for Yusei Matsui to eat a wooper looper” was published on “Shonen Jump NEXT!”
He came up with the idea of “a scene in which students all point guns at the teacher” and devised a concept for the work, and “Assassination Classroom” was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2012 to 2016.
His style is unique with strange settings and depictions.
He often makes simple drawing mistakes such as “the door opening direction is reversed for each frame” and “the fingers of the hand are six”.
*Most of the mistakes have been fixed before the volume was published.
He is aware that his drawings are rough and ready.
